Director of Quality, R&D and Production Developed a compressed tobacco tablet for smokers and Snuff users. This is a replacement for cigarette users when they cannot smoke and moist snuff users as a cleaner method of getting nicotine. Direct production and additional product development of this product and direct quality issues.
2000 to 2003
Pharmline Inc. Florida, New York
VP of Operations Responsible for bringing the company’s technology into the “state of the art” production capabilities. Responsible for the redesign and construction of the present production facilities, the design and construction of a new manufacturing facility consisting of “state of the art” fluid bed processing equipment. I designed and had manufactured for Pharmline the most advanced fluid bed processing equipment in the world. Several patents are obtainable for this equipment. Reformulated most of their products into fluid bed processing, and formulated products for other customers of Pharmline.
1997 to 2000
Performance Fuel Systems, LLC
Rocky Mount, North Carolina
President Researched and developed a hydrocarbon fuel Atomic Intensifier for use with any hydrocarbon fuel to enhance and more completely burn the fuel. This results in lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions. This device underwent testing at the University of Virginia. Preliminary results show an improvement from the best of any other device on the market. Was awarded a patent for this device.
1993 to 1997
HEALTH, CORPORATION
Rocky Mount, North Carolina
President and owner Established a research and manufacturing company, which developed an early form of AQUAPRIN, a potassium aspirin complex for which I was awarded three patents. AQUAPRIN is a new soluble aspirin product, offering numerous advantages over existing commercial aspirin products now on the market. The company manufactures and packages the product, and has the capability of doing additional contract manufacturing. Personal investment exceeded $ 3 million. Product was sold through a national broker network to retail pharmacy chains, wholesalers, food and mass merchandisers. The company was located in a 60,000 sq. ft fully GMP facility on 22 acres of land in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and was set up to produce $30 million of product with the existing equipment and facility.
1984 to 1990,
GRANUTEC, INC.
Wilson, North Carolina
President and owner Established Granutec Inc. and constructed a 30,000 sq. ft. pharmaceutical plant in Wilson, NC. for development and production of pharmaceutical products and to develop fluid bed micro-encapsulation technology for use in the agriculture and pharmaceutical industries. Included in that process was the design and manufacture of continuous and batch pharmaceutical granulating equipment. By the end of 1987, the company had expanded to 45,000 sq. ft. and in early 1988 purchased a 77,000 sq. ft. pharmaceutical packaging plant in Largo, Florida. Employees totaled over 240. The Largo facility was redesigned and reorganized and the two companies were sold in mid 1988 to Roussel Holdings Corporation, a division of Roussel UCLAF, owned by Hoechst. Sales of Granutec grew from $6 million in 1988 to over $40 million in 1990. In 1993, the company sales exceeded $60 million. The company did business with Wal-Mart, Eckerd, Perry Drug, Kerr Drug, Rite Aid, etc.

MATERIALS PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY INC.

President and owner On April 1, 1981, the company leased a new warehouse and by June 15, 1981, had a complete fluid bed based pharmaceutical plant built and operating, processing product for Monsanto, Warner-Lambert, Durkee Foods, McNeil (Johnson & Johnson), American Home Products, Rhone Poulenc and other major pharmaceutical companies. In January of 1983, Materials Processing Technology and PharmaControl merged and went public. Remained President of Materials Processing Technology and became COO of the public company. In February of 1984, left the company and moved to North Carolina.
1975 to 1981
GLATT AIR TECHNIQUES INC.
Ramsey, New Jersey
President Established American subsidiary of this European based company. Began with one secretary and myself for the purposes of introducing and selling fluid bed granulating and coating technology and equipment for the processing of pharmaceuticals, chemicals and foods. Ciba Geigy in Switzerland developed this technology. From 1975 to 1980, I built the company up to $12 million sales volume annually. Average profits were in excess of 30% net (before taxes) Expansion of the company and the need for more space propelled Phykitt to personally undertake the responsibility for the purchase of six acres of property and the design and construction of a new headquarters in Ramsey, New Jersey. In addition to the financial success of this company, contributions also include designing equipment totally new to the pharmaceutical industry. That equipment is still being used today successfully throughout the industry in such companies as Eli Lilly, John & Johnson (McNeil), Warner Lambert, Smith Kline.
Linford Brown
Chairman & Co Founder of Aspir-tek, Inc. Mr. Brown is also the chairman of Power Holdings and Management Corp., a holding and consulting company located in the greater New York area. Power Holdings and Management Corp., is a majority shareholder in Aspir-tek, Inc.
Brown has a 23 year career as a licensed Wall Street equities broker, is a consultant to start up companies, private, and publicly trading entities seeking capital in their infancy stage, and will provide the necessary guidance, funding, management, and legal assistance, through his company Power Holdings and Management Corp.
Mr. Brown was essential in the participation and funding of companies such as“UT Starcom”, “The Unbreakable Auto Lock”, “Paramotor”, “ Omnipoint” which is currently “T-mobile Communications”, “Poppa John’s Pizza”, and a laundry list of other companies that are still successful and operating today, and or were bought out at a premium valuation
Steven J. Hultquist
Cheif patent council for Aspir-tek, Inc with the Firm INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY/TECHNOLOGY LAW (Chapel Hill, NC). Mr. Hultquist is licensed in New York, North Carolina, and Connecticut, and has been registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office since 1976. Mr. Hultquist also holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington University (St. Louis).
Mr. Hultquist is a frequent speaker for Continuing Legal Education programs, as well as having published in the Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society, Genetic Engineering News, Nature Biotechnology, and other Journals and Publications. Steven Hultquist’s reported cases included Guinn v. Kopf, 96 F. 3d 1419 (CAFC 1996), in which he was counsel for Henry B. Kopf, successfully arguing a bio-technology patent interference case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, (CAFC).
